This was an art piece I did to depict a “happy place”. Its the place everyone has in their lives where they go to forget all their worries and live in the moment. The piece depicts a young girl in a kind of underwater utopia. A place where she loses herself in the beauty of it all, a place where she is happy.
Although the concept is a happy one, I didn’t try to use too many bright colors, but just enough to get the message across.
So I wanted to capture a kind of mythical world. With fairies, plants that come alive, all the works. I went with the idea of fairies that sleep in roses. I set the artwork in a subtle brown monotone to give it a realistic feel.
So I was really taken by one of the most pristine places in the world. The Erin ijesha falls in Nigeria. I tried to capture it in all its beauty in my art. I subtly blended a lot of colors in this, I also used a wide variety of brushes.
With this artwork I tried to capture the nature and atmosphere of another planet. I used colors that were distinct from each other, but not too far in the color spectrum with the aim of giving the artwork a serene, but otherworldly feeling.
