The power in dance.

In this piece I tried to capture the power in a simple dance. Its funny how dances like the waltz or tango, or any dance shared by two people really, manage to create memories that last a lifetime. How a simple holding of hands, a gentle shuffling of the feet, becomes stories parents tell their children, reasons people smile to themselves when nobody’s around. There’s nothing complex about dance, you don’t even have to really know how to do it, yet it manages to forge complex relationships. Such is its power, and its necessity in the world we live in.

I tried to give this piece a romantic realistic look. So i used brown undertones

Stage queen.

This was a piece of art I created called the stage queen. Inspired by a dancer I watched at the theatre. It depicts a woman who flourishes in the spotlight, who loves to captivate the audience anywhere she is, be it in a small room with thirty people, or a grand audience of thousands. She feels all the attention focused on her, she embraces it, and enjoys it. She finds happiness in the applause of strangers, in the wows of their lips, in the noise of their ovations and the awe in their faces. She may be anything else, anywhere else, but the stage is her domain, and she alone is queen.
